How to Replace a Flat Tire
Replacing a flat tire actually isn't as hard as it seems. Here are the steps to do it efficiently and safely:
Step One: Find a safe location and turn on your hazard lights
If you encounter a flat tire or a blowout while driving down the highway, the first thing you need to do is to slowly ease your car to a safe spot away from oncoming traffic in order to change it. Yes, this might damage the rim, but better a damaged rim than risking your life
Step Two: Apply the parking brake
This is done in order to prevent your vehicle from rolling.
Step Three: Loosen the lug nuts.
With the help of a lug wrench, loosen the lug nuts until they give way. Then, get ready to place the jack under your vehicle and raise it with that jack.
Step Four: Remove the flat tire and mount the tire on the lug nuts
After you have the tire on the lug nuts, screw it in completely by hand. Then, tighten the lug nuts with the lug wrench. Let the vehicle down slowly.
